Karamba Security Certified to ISO/SAE 21434 Cybersecurity Standard

HOD HASHARON, Israel, June 26, 2023 – Karamba Security proudly announces that it is now accredited with the ISO standard dedicated to road vehicle cybersecurity: “ISO/SAE 21434:2021 Road vehicles — Cybersecurity engineering”.

The United Nations regulation No. 155 (UN R155) obligates automotive OEMs – and hence their suppliers – to establish and operate a cybersecurity management system (CSMS) and to implement a high level of product security for their vehicle architectures as a prerequisite for vehicle type approval. ISO/SAE 21434 sets the framework for the implementation of these guidelines.

As a major supplier to OEMs, Karamba Security was required by its customers to meet the ISO/SAE standard. Utilizing its experience of enabling OEMs and suppliers to meet the UN R155 regulation and ISO/SAE 21434 standard, Karamba Security established a Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS) compliant with ISO/SAE 21434.

Karamba is one of the industry’s front runners to be certified for ISO/SAE 21434:2021 compliance, after passing an external process audit by Applus+ IDIADA.
