Results of Survey on Autonomous Driving in Germany

May 7, 2019 – Most German auto consumers are concerned that hackers could hijack their vehicle and put their lives in danger, and believe that manufacturers should be responsibile for ensuring the security of connected vehicles, according to a survey conducted by Karamba Security. Out of the 1,000 respondents, only 37% said that their greatest fear was data theft and less than half said their greatest concern was auto theft. The survey also found that 92% of respondents believe that security software should be checked, as part of the TÜV inspection, every two years.
